About the Foundation

The Cultural Arts Foundation of Douglas County strives to create, connect and collaborate with all artist disciplines in the community, engage with cultural art advocates and projects to enhance the arts, culture and commerce of Douglas County.CAFDC is a 501c3 non-profit that has been vigorously working on creating platforms to showcase the incredible talents of our community and beyond.

Founded in 2021, CAFDC initially created the popular Artist Mixers which allowed the Foundation to meet, promote and introduce many of the Douglas County's best musicians and artists. Since then, we have collaborated on many local events including providing and paying local musicians and bands for the annual Brats, Bands and Brews Summerfest, Wind Down Wednesdays monthly summer Food Truck Festival, MainStreet Gardnerville's Fall Fest and the inaugural
2023 Hot Air For Hope Balloon and Cultural Arts Festival and BackCountry Music, BBQ & Brews Festival.
