The Cultural Arts Foundation of Douglas County (CAFDC) strives to create, connect, and collaborate with artists of all disciplines in the community, to engage with arts advocates, and partner with other organizations to enhance the arts, culture and commerce of Douglas County.
The CAFDC is a 501c3 that has been vigorously working to create platforms that showcase the incredible talents of our community and beyond.
Founded in 2021, the CAFDC initially created the popular Artist Mixers which allowed the Foundation to meet, promote and introduce many of the Douglas County's best musicians and artists.
Since then, we have collaborated on many local events including providing performance venues for local musicians such as the annual Brats, Bands, and Brews Summerfest, monthly Wind Down Wednesdays (in partnership with CV Flyte and Mainstreet Gardnerville), The Coffin Races - Fall Fest, the inaugural 2023 Hot Air For Hope Balloon and Cultural Arts Festival, and the BackCountry Music Festival.
